The Challenge
Following a multi-year hiatus due to COVID, Cat wanted to make a major impact at ConExpo, the largest construction tradeshow in North America by changing the game. With Caterpillar’s increased focus on technology solutions for their customers, a new approach, expanding beyond the iron machines, was required.
At the center of this was VisionLink, a suite of digital tools designed for customers to manage, monitor and excel with telematic data insights. Demonstrating how VisionLink can lead to substantial savings and increased profit for operators via these real-time insights was a paramount challenge.
The Solution
VisionLink and other Caterpillar Construction Technologies took center stage at ConExpo, enabling prospective and current customers to participate in a fully-immersive experience where they learned about the tolls, gained insights into the business impact and understood the application to their specific business directly from Caterpillar staff and the surrounding experience.
Business Unusual
Cat Command, a revolutionary technology product that enables live remote operation of machinery became a showcase for Caterpillar at ConExpo, enabling customers to take the helm of a Caterpillar machine thousands of miles away. The impression at ConExpo led to incredible engagement from customers, increased sales of product and subscriptions to VisionLink.
